when i travelled for many days and nights
the road ceaseless with no help of light
and i found that i was lost.
the shadows grew tall
we were two giants in the dusky light
(when the sun sets we grow up)
and when the tide moves we know.
how deafening the sound of the sea to the shore
defeats my pressing purpose
and how i beg of the earth and myself
alas! faith, i do not know anymore.
such wanting of faith in the half-light
i sought comfort in my rage
if only i could undo it, my own undid.
our paths are fixed and likely crossed
i was caught in confines cage'd
and i found that i was lost.
